I bought all the products from the Light Over Darkness launch and I’m OBSESSED.

This book lets me light up my beliefs with sparkling colour and serves as an excellent form of feminist expression, in addition to being filled with beautifully illustrated pieces of art! I’ve struggled a lot with feeling depressed and finding little joy in anything - but now I actively look forward to getting home from work each day because I can’t wait to continue colouring in this book, which helps to bring a little light and purpose to my dark and stressful days.

The blending paper is an absolute game-changer (I had only ever tried the bleedproof paper before this, which as they mention can take a little bit more work to blend - so had no idea how satisfyingly effortless blending could be, and now I’m completely in love!). I was hesitant to try the non-bleedproof paper but I have all of the CoC pens available right now and none of them bleed through at all, even when layered repeatedly. The paper is incredibly high quality and goes great with new brush pens!

I love the quotes and designs, and the diverse characters from many cultures. I would love it if there was perhaps some East Asian representation next time too, but I understand how this may be tricky to portray in drawings. Overall, as a queer ethnic minority female with disabilities, from a single-mother immigrant household, this book really makes me feel seen.

For such a great price this book has already helped me more than years of expensive therapy, and I am glad to spend every spare moment of mine enjoying it! I’ve attached some images of my progress so far - as you can see, I’m a bit messy at colouring… but the pens/designs are so beautiful that I love it anyway and am having an absolute blast.

They are soo smooth and glittery. Using these pens are really fun to use on both bleed proof and blending paper!! Absolute perfect pen. Kindly Request to make more glitter brush pens and whether there’s a way to make the usual brush pens in a similar way as these are streak free and perfect!!!

I have all the Calm over Chaos books and each one is therapy and offers something for every mood but this book is everything I need right now and I am just obsessed- I just get absolutely lost but fee totally validated at the same time-please bring out more with this vibe! Highly recommend

These pens are my new obsession. Having bought one set when they released I've been back today to stock up on my favourite! They are so easy to use and just add that extra touch to your page 😁 My favourite has to be the "clear" butter's sugar cubes as it works so well for things like mirrors and glass, and also to help blend. And if you get a little colour on the nib it's easy enough to clean with a couple of strokes on a rough piece of paper. LOVE them! Would love a light blue and light green next please Millie! 😂

Can be built up for a more "white" look but also, I am currently OBSESSED with using this over pastel colours to just give it an awesome shimmer. If done lightly, it can be almost transparent and is just so much fun to experiment with. I may have bought two of these 😅

Not my go-to colour normally but I decided to get one of each and actually, this one is perfect for that deep star glitter look and works amazingly well against darker colours like the green and black. So much fun to use too

In love with this book. Stressful job and stressful life - something about how relatable these quotes are just helps to ease my over tired head. Some pages are fun to plan and be meticulous with - others are just perfect for when I want to sit down and just flat colour / glitter my way out of my dark places. I got the blending paper version and debating buying the alcohol one too just because I love the pages so much 🥰

I wanted this book for ages, and I got it gifted for Christmas. It is my ALL TIME favourite book ever, and I really hope that a second one comes out! I have it in the Bleedproof paper and it is beautiful. 100% recommend.
